Montalivet is a peaceful and sporty resort offering a wide range of walks and hikes. Cycling is a popular activity here, ideal for going to the market, exploring the Médoc region, or heading to the beach.

Montalivet is especially known for its surf retreat spot when the waves are too big further south. Experienced or beginners, many surf schools and surf shop punctuate the village and give it a Californian air. For swimming, 2 beaches are supervised: the central beach with two bathing areas and the South beach.

Open every day and all year round, the Montalivet-les-Bains market brings together more than 240 exhibitors in the middle of summer.
